Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Z28 which is in restored condition and comes in a rare sought after exterior color of Dark Blue Metallic. This Z28 is loaded with very sought after factory options such as: 350 engine, 4 Speed manual transmission, power windows, 3.73 rear axle with posi traction, tilt wheel, and F41 sport suspension. This Z28 features a beautiful repaint in factory Dark Blue Metallic which still shows very well, a restored Black Vinyl, and a strong running 350 engine and 4 speed transmission. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Dark Blue Metallic (code 29) over Black (code 19R) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and window sheet sheets pictured above. Also included with this Z28 is the window sheet showing the factory options.
Exterior
The Dark Blue Metallic exterior is in terrific overall condition. This Z28 was treated to a professional repaint in factory Dark Blue in recent years and still shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition with a great shine and gloss and is smooth to the touch. This Z28 is solid and has great lines. Both bumpers are in great shape shape with no flaking or faded paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have lots of tread left and are sized 245/60/15 and the Factory wheels are restored OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and have been repainted in body color. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire and original style trunk mat. Door seals, window seals, trunk seal, and window sweeps have all been replaced. An added stereo speaker amplifier has been professionally installed in the trunk and is clean and out of the way.
Interior
The Black Vinyl interior of this Z28 is in splendid stock restored condition. The new seat covers are in perfect condition with no noticeable wear anywhere. The seat foams were replaced as well. The carpet was replaced and is in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern Alpine unit with CD player and MP3/USB hook ups with nice 6x9 speakers in the rear and a great sounding dash speaker in the center. With the added amplifier installed in the trunk this stereo has an incredible sound and really rocks out.
The door panels have been replaced and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray has been replaced and is like new condition and the headliner has been replaced as well. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The stereo, blower motor, Power Windows, and wipers all work. The horn is not working and the passenger power window is finicky. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Z28 is in good mechanical condition and runs and drives good. A strong running replacement Chevy 350 engine is coupled with a nice shifting 4 speed manual transmission. This is a strong running 350 and from experience appears to have about 300 HP. In the video one can observe this car running with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car performs and idles well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. A newer alternator and battery were installed. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust is upgraded to newer Flowmaster dual mufflers with long tube headers and has an muscle car exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine bay is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. Gas gauge appears to need grounded as the needle pegs.
