This 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR convertible is one of 517 ever
built and one of 50 Shelby Special Order Mustangs painted in
Code-WT6066 Special Yellow paint. Designed by Shelby American and
produced by Ford, this GT500KR has all the high-performance
features available at the time, including the 428ci V8 Ford Cobra
Jet engine. The 428 Cobra Jet produced a thunderous 335hp and
developed 440 lbs/ft of torque. The potent powerplant is connected
to a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and Traction-Lok
limited-slip rear axle. Power steering and power front disc brakes
help keeps things in control. Equipment includes black power
convertible top with glass backlite, dual exhaust, road lights,
fiberglass hood, tilt-away steering column, GT equipment group and
10-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas tires. With
20,716 actual miles on the odometer, this GT500KR was certainly
well preserved its entire life. The legend Carroll Shelby himself
personally sat in this convertible and proudly signed the passenger
side dashboard. Included with this cornerstone muscle car is a copy
of the Build Sheet as well as a Deluxe Marti Report. Straight out
