Vehicle Description
Nicknamed "Friction," this custom F-1 pickup is a radically
customized show truck that has been undefeated since its debut.
Built by Hot Rod Hall of Fame builder Randy Weaver of Weaver
Customs, Friction's long list of accomplishments include ISCA Best
Pro-Touring Street Machine Comp, ISCA Utah's Finest, Goodguys
Builder's Choice, named Top 5 Truck of SEMA 2019 by Fuelish Media
and SEMA Battle of the Builders Finalist 2020. Friction is
currently on the cover of F100 Builder's Guide magazine with a
feature article in the Winter 2020 issue and was featured by Adam's
Polishes, Kimes Ranch Jeans and Hydes Leather in their marketing
campaigns for 2020. It's powered by a twin-turbo 4BT 3.9-liter
Cummins diesel engine with Flowmaster exhaust backed by a full
manual valve body 47RH 4-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch
Ford rear end with 3.50 gears. It's equipped with custom
independent front suspension and 4-link rear suspension with
RideTech adjustable coilovers and rides on custom 20x15 rear and
18x10 front 3-piece wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson rubber. The
truck has been expertly finished in Toc Gray Axalta paint over a
custom interior done by JS Custom Interiors featuring Hydes Italian
leather with intercooler piping, Dakota Digital gauges and a Kicker
audio system. Body modifications include a 1-3/4-inch chop,
windshield leaned back 1-3/4 inches, suicide doors, hand-fabricated
front and rear valances, custom hood hinges, shaved and smooth
body, handcrafted grille, flush-mounted glass, radically modified
bed with intercooler and brake cooling ducts, and handmade running
boards. Friction has just test and show miles only since its
completion.
