This 1975 Ford F-250 Highboy is a Ranger and a mostly original and
unmolested truck. This truck spent most of its life in Montana
before being purchased by a gentleman in South Dakota who has owned
it for the last 5 years or so. At some point in its life the truck
received some sort of hail damage to the hood and roof so it was
issued a Salvage Title. The hood and roof were repainted at that
time. We do believe the 129,xxx miles to be original based on the
original and clean underside and the previous owner's understanding
of miles when he purchased the vehicle. The body on this Highboy is
clean and straight with no rust issues found and no rust repair was
found when we checked it out. The paint is a combination of
original with patina and repaint from reasons mentioned above. The
paint looks great and this truck would be considered a really nice
driver for someone. It still sports its original colors of Candy
Apple Red and Wimbledon White. It has a spray in bedliner, the
chrome and stainless is in really nice condition, and the underside
is really clean. The interior is also in nice condition. The seat
cover looks new as well as the steering wheel. Carpet and Door
Panels look to be original and in good shape. The dash is in great
original condition. All of the lights, blinkers wipers, and gauges
are working (oil pressure gauge is aftermarket). Even the original
AM radio is working. The horn is In-Op.
Mechanically this truck runs and drives really nice. Everything
mechanical looks original and stock. The 360 V8 starts easily and
runs smooth and strong. We found no red flags with the engine and
we are unsure how many miles are on it. The transmission is the C6
Automatic and it shifts nice. It is mated to the np203 Transfer
case and the 4WD works as it should. It has a Dana 60 Rear End and
a Dana 44 Front end. It has 4.10 Gears, Power Steering, and Power
Brakes. Overall this is a really clean and cool truck for
someone.
