This '59 Chevy short-bed fleetside big-window pickup underwent a
full frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. All of the original metal
was sandblasted and had no rust. It has the original NAPCO transfer
case and the original shifter bracket holder riveted to the frame.
The Dana 44 axle was changed out at some point. This custom pickup
is powered by a fuel-injected 5.3-liter LS engine with dual exhaust
backed by a 4L60E automatic transmission with 3.73 gears. It rides
on 33x12.50x20 mud terrain tires mounted on 20x12 Savage chrome
wheels with Rough Country shocks and stabilizer shocks to match.
The laser-straight exterior wears deep Jet Black with four coats of
clear that was cut and buffed to a mirror finish as well as all-new
glass, weatherstripping, lights and chrome. The gas tank was
relocated to the back under the bed, the tailgate was smoothed and
hidden latches were installed. The bed wood was finished in red and
black for a Black Cherry finish with four coats of clear. The full
custom interior is done in Bright Red leather, including the door
panels, console and headliner, and features Vintage Air, chrome
steering column with billet steering wheel, power windows,
one-piece window kit, keyless entry, remote start, backup camera,
navigation and a nice sound system.
