1969 Plymouth Road Runner
Offered for sale by K2 Motorcars is this Resto-Mod Road Runner. A
full restoration was completed on this Road Runner in 2012. It has
had one repaint from Bronze Fire to Lemon Twist Yellow, including
the correct Organisol hood paint treatment. This Resto-Mod looks
original, but it has been upgraded with custom suspension, torsion
sway-bars, shocks and springs, a Dana 60 complete rear drivetrain
assembly, and 3.73:1 posi-traction. It's powered by a custom-built
492ci engine putting out a dyno-tested 418rwhp, backed by an
automatic transmission. Its been additionally upgraded with 4-wheel
disc brakes, period-correct redline tires, and custom Cragar SS
wheels. Originally a bench seat car, the interior was upgraded with
a custom bucket seat center console package. All of the upgrades
were accomplished without interfering with the original 1969
Plymouth design. All of the work on the chassis was carefully
crafted to appear as close as possible to factory original
components; every effort was made to keep this car a true
Resto-Mod.
