Vehicle Description
This custom 1950 Chevrolet 3100 5-window short-bed pickup has just
undergone a complete frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. It's
running a brand-new GM 350ci 8-cylinder crate engine with FiTech
ram injection and billet serpentine belt drive backed by a
brand-new TCI automatic transmission. It's equipped with dual
2.5-inch exhaust with stainless headers, and to keep it cool it is
running a C&R radiator with fan and shroud. For suspension, the
truck has all-new Heidts IFS up front with tubular A-arms and
adjustable coilovers with a power rack & pinion steering unit. Out
back is a triangular 4-link with coilover shocks as well. A set of
power-assisted 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes provides stopping power
for the custom set of US Mags Heritage billet wheels with Federal
true red line tires. The interior is finished in Chocolate
upholstery with a custom-built bolstered seat with stainless cup
holders, Classic Instrument gauges, tilt column, Bluetooth
retro-style stereo and LS Fab billet speaker grille and glove box.
Wiring is hidden for that clean firewall and overall great
appearance. The pickup bed has been upgraded with a completely new
Mar-K sheet metal bed with 2-inch raised floor, chain delete on the
tailgate with a latch instead, and finished off with an oak wood
with dark walnut stain and three coats of satin clear along with
boltless fastener stainless strips. The fuel tank has been removed
from inside the cab and a new Boyd EFI tank is under the with a
flush-mounted fuel filler in the rear fender. The doors have been
upgraded with Trique door latches. The pickup has all-new smoked
glass with one-piece door glass and upgraded front windshield with
divider bar deleted. It also has all-new rubber seals and
fasteners. This pickup has been painted in Cornish Cream base
coat/clear coat paint and features all-new chrome and brightwork.
