International DeSoto Club, Alan Ralston, this DeSoto Adventurer is
one of 97 built new in 1959. This classic convertible is equipped
with a 383/350hp V8 wedge engine with dual-quad carburetors,
dual-point distributer, push-button Torque-Flite 3-speed automatic
transmission, dual exhaust, dual antennas, bumper guards, bubble
windshield and Triad horns. Inside, "Alan" is lavish with
accessories, such as a padded dash, dual rearview mirrors, driver
remote mirror, dual swivel seats, power seat, search-tune radio
with foot control, rearview MirrorMatic dimmer, auto headlight
dimmer, clock, power windows, power convertible top, multi-colored
speedometer, tinted glass, tri-tone interior with gold sparkle
trim, Trinidad black and gold flaked carpet and interior lighting.
The brilliance of this classic can be seen in the gold-stamped
aluminum side sweep outlined in chrome moldings, chrome fender
spears, chrome rocker moldings with wheel opening moldings, chrome
trunk bars, gold anodized grille, rear gold bumper insert, gold and
chromed bullet hubcaps, restored gold Adventurer emblems and
insignias and Adventurer exhaust tips. No detail was overlooked
during the restoration of this DeSoto.
