This car is GSX #362 of 678 produced in 1970 and one of 400
produced with the factory historical Stage 1 performance package.
It's powered by a 455ci 8-cylinder engine, conservatively rated at
360hp with 510 ft/lbs of torque paired with a TH400 automatic
transmission. It's equipped with factory air conditioning, floor
console, bucket seats, power disc brakes, quick-ratio power
steering, Rally Ride Control Package, Rally steering wheel, Rally
clock, Sonomatic Radio and tinted glass. It was built during the
third week of April in 1970, where it started out as a dealer
demonstrator for a young salesman at Colonial Buick in New Orleans,
LA. This GSX was treated to a meticulous frame-off concours
rotisserie restoration to original by Buick specialists. Each part
of the car was removed, restored or replaced with NOS parts. It was
sprayed with correct original formula lacquer Saturn Yellow and
correct Satin Black striping. All mechanicals have been
professionally rebuilt to meet or exceed factory specifications.
The transmission has original VIN stamping present in the case. All
accessories work, including the air conditioning, and the car
drives well. It has the original body factory Build Sheet, GSX
Historical Society documentation, a reproduction Window Sticker
showing the original build and options and a complete ownership
history. This documented GSX Stage I has won many prestigious
awards, including Junior and Senior awards at the 2019 AACA
Nationals, multiple Concours Gold Awards at GS Nationals and
multiple Concours Gold Awards at BPG Nationals. Judging sheets and
awards accompany the car.
