Vehicle Description
No expense was spared in creating this 2-year, 2,500-hour Resto-Mod
built. The build started with an original 1967 Corvette coupe body,
which was modified with large rear quarter-panels, a raised
transmission tunnel, and a custom rear floor and wheel wells to
accommodate massive 335mm rear tires on 20x11 custom rear BOZE
Forged wheels. The custom tubular chassis from SRIII Motorsports
incorporates C6 suspension and utilizes C6 Corvette control arms
and spindles, coupled with huge Z06 Corvette brakes and rotors with
red powder-coated calipers. The differential is a custom Strange
posi-traction unit with 3.73:1 gear ratio. The axles are
modern-style CV joint axles that are custom-made just for the SRIII
chassis. The driveshaft was custom-made and is rated to over 900hp.
The modern rack & pinion steering rack is manufactured by Flaming
River and is complemented by a Flaming River polished aluminum
steering column. The engine is a new supercharged 6.2-liter
8-cylinder LT4 from Chevrolet Performance controlled by the
Chevrolet Performance Control Pack, specifically designed for this
engine. The custom serpentine front runner system was designed by
Drive Junky and has been powder-coated in black. The engine is
backed by a T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission with a custom
hydraulic clutch. The bellhousing is made by Quicktime and is
blow-proof and SFI certified. The full custom interior features red
stitched leather with diamond-patterned double stitching in the
seats and door panels, leather dash pads with French stitching,
full custom center console with storage and custom-made carpet. All
interior trim was wrapped in leather with double stitching, and all
leather was imported from Italy from the same supplier Ferrari
uses. Custom wiring from American Auto Wire was used to provide
power to the car. Dakota Digital Gauges were used for aftermarket
fully programable gauges that appear to be original but are far
from it. Other features include ABS electric brakes, Bluetooth
stereo, electric parking brake, Vintage Air heating and cooling
system, power windows, custom smoke tinted glass and custom chrome.
