stunning 2008 Mercedes SL55 AMG in spectacular condition with only
28,760 miles. This car is truly a premium example and is
exceptionally rare, only 464 were made for 2008. This Mercedes is
completely "turn key," everything on the car works, and it needs
nothing. I would not hesitate to hop in this car right now and
drive across the country. The Mars Red (590) over Tan Stone (215)
with Chestnut (733) wood trim color combination is highly
desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this SL. It is also
the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on
the service sticker, which is pictured in this ad. Red is much more
rare and desirable, most SL55's are black, silver, or white.
Besides the beautiful colors, this Mercedes is absolutely loaded
with sought-after options such as the Panoramic roof with sunshade,
Keyless Go, heated and cooled Multicontour Active Ventilated Seats,

The SL55 AMG is an absolute thrill to drive. It features a 5.4
liter supercharged V8 with 510 horsepower and 531 lb/ft torque, AMG
Speed shift 5-speed automatic transmission with aluminum shift
paddles, and will go 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
I have put about 200 miles on this SL55 AMG in the past month. The
car was a pleasure to drive, had no issues at all, and was
flawlessly reliable. We purchased this car from an older gentleman
that has owned it for over 10 years. He was a car collector who had
many classic cars in his collection and took excellent care of this
Mercedes. There is a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The
report shows no accident history and verifies the very low original
mileage.
The car comes with both original key remotes, the original owners
manual and books. It also comes with a red fitted Mercedes car
cover. We have this Mercedes priced to sell and are offering an
excellent opportunity to own a very desirable and unique AMG SL at

the corner and started to come up recently. The AMG models have
gone from simply being older used cars to become collectable

Exterior
The Mars Red exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in
the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, smooth finish, and deep
shine. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid Mercedes
touch and feels like a vault door closing. The car exhibits great
body panel fit overall. It has never been in any kind of accident.
The 19" AMG alloy wheels are in great condition with a brilliant
finish. The tires are literally brand new with less than 200 miles
on them and are correctly sized 255/35-19 in the front and
285/30-19 in the rear. There are some very tiny imperfections and
minor stone chips that have been touched up, but were too small to
show up in photos. This Mercedes has always been stored indoors,
was never driven in inclement weather, and as one can see in the
many photos of the underside this SL is very clean underneath.
The car look just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior
The Tan Stone Leather interior of the Mercedes is in fantastic
condition. The Multicontour Active Ventilated eats look great with
no rips or split seams. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the
lenses are clear. The carpet is in also in great condition with no
rips or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often
neglected. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks,
fading, or sun damage. There is only minor wear in the expected
area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. This Mercedes
has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks, no aroma of
cigarettes, and the cigarette lighter has never been used.
Lighter color interiors like this Tan Stone are not know to wear
well and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has
received throughout its life.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Mercedes is in wonderful mechanical condition. This car is
blisteringly fast and pure driving excitement with over 500
horsepower. As stated above I have recently put about 200 on this
car with no problems at all. The AMG supercharged engine starts
right away every time, runs great, and idles smooth. The car drives
magnificently and feels great on the road and at highway speeds, it
drives just as well as you would expect from a well maintained
sports car with very low mileage. In the video below one can
observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 80mph,
shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going
through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises
or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes
are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts well throughout the power band. Also, the
engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as
one can see in the photos. The car is completely stock, has no
modification, and it totally unmolested.
Every feature and option on this car works properly including the
radio, the exterior lights, dash lights, power seats in all
directions, seat heaters, seat coolers, power mirrors in all
directions, power trunk, horn, wipers, and indicators. The power
convertible hardtop works properly. One can observe the top raising
and lowering in the video. The top also pops up as it should when
it is in the down position and the trunk is opened. The blower for
the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The a/c itself works and
blows cold. All of the gauges work. Not enough can be said as to
how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the
top down on a beautiful day.
The car runs and drives as well as it looks.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 2008 Mercedes SL55 AMG looks fantastic and is an
awesome car. The beautiful original color combination, excellent
condition, the very low original mileage, and the rarity being only
1 of 464 make this SL especially important and very hard to
duplicate. The Mercedes SL has been an iconic model for decades and
this SL55 is truly a premium example. This car is a solid
investment for a collector.
