Vehicle Description

VIN  7T03C154664

Description:  A very solid, highly factory optioned GTA purchased from the same enthusiast owner for over 30 years, and now showing 98,000 miles.  Factory equipped with believed to be the original, older rebuilt 289 V8, GT package (GT Package Includes Front Power Disc Brakes, 4" Fog Lamps, GT Side Stripes, GE ornamentation on gas cap, special Wide-Oval tires, higher-rate springs and shocks and stablizer bar.)  Other Factory options found on this car include Rocker Panel Moldings - Console - Deluxe Steering Wheel - Power Steering - AM Radio - Exterior Decor Group - Interior  Decor Group - Deluxe Seat Belts - Wheel Covers.  Still has correct Dark Moss Green M2039 Paint.  Original ID/Dealer curved-edge card or plate from owners manual is now screwed to LH top inner fender. There is a small rust damaged area in this flat, sheet metal in this location.

This Mustang survivor clearly was garaged and has avoided salt and exposure. From our recent Marti Report (view full report in photo section):  This GTA was equipped from the factory with the following features: - White Power Top w/Plastic Backlite - GT Equipment Group - F70-14 Wide Oval White Sidewall Nylon Tires - Rocker Panel Moldings - Console - Deluxe Steering Wheel - Power Steering - AM Radio - Exterior Decor Group - Interior Decor Group - Deluxe Seat Belts - Wheel Covers

Not perfect, but a great driver quality car with great curb appeal and patina.  Our GTA runs very well, and is a reliable, solid car.  Enthusiast maintained from new, garaged and properly maintained.

Body is very solid and straight, and paint fair.  Appears to have had one repaint from new. Underbody is clean with minimal rust.  A repaint in this original color makes sense, or a terrific base for a restoration. High quality metal repair to partial floors and a few lower body areas and recent partial panel respray in 2020 with poor blending with older paint in these repaired areas of lower body.  Buyer will want to correctly blend these areas or repaint the car.   The Power, Convertible top was replaced years ago, fits well to the car, but recently part of cloth material on upper zipper has torn, and plastic rear window now does not zip up.  We are leaving this repair or replacement of back window to buyer, who may choose to return to original white top.  Includes top boot cover, manuals, receipts, and more.  Included as spares but not installed are white GT stripe kit and 2 chrome 14” wheels with radial tires as shown on several photos of the car.   Recent mechanical service. Ready to drive away and enjoy.

About the 1967 Mustang GTA Model:  The most desirable and valuable of the first-generation Mustangs are those from the 1967 and 1968 model years. These years represents the sweet spot, with the car’s classic style and compact (by American standards) size teamed with much better cosmetic, interior and mechanical specifications. 1967 Mustang Convertibles, especially with the GT Trim package are some of the most collectable, sought after mid-range American collectable cars from the 1960s. Terrific style, great parts availability, club support and low cost of ownership help to keep prices generally high and all 1967 Mustang models remain in steady and high demand. Appraiser’s Notes: The first impression I had of this car when the owner drove it to our dealership was of a remarkably original and well optioned Mustang, carefully maintained and kept in very good driving condition.
