Vehicle Description
This 1971 K5 Blazer is a complete custom build with attention to
detail throughout and a recently completed nut-and-bolt
restoration. Thousands of hours went into this no-expense-spared
unique build. The body was acid-dipped and then finished in Sikkens
black and white paint laid over a laser-straight body. The frame
was acid-dipped and then powder-coated black. This K5 is powered by
a new supercharged GM Performance LT4 6.2-liter V8 engine producing
650hp and 650 ft/lbs of torque. This is the same engine used in the
high-performance C7 Corvette ZR1. The engine is mated to a 4L80E
automatic transmission and is equipped with an advanced adapter to
support the billet ATLAS transfer case. The suspension features Off
Road Design leaf springs and a 3-inch lift. It has completely
rebuilt front and rear 8-lug axles with 4.10 gear ratio to hold up
to the supercharged LT4. The front end has a Detroit Truetrac
locker and the rear end has an ARB locker with compressor. It rides
on Detroit Steel wheels with 295x70x18 Goodyear MTR Kevlar tires.
Some of the other highlights include Vintage Air, TIG-welded
exhaust system, Rick's stainless fuel tank, stainless brake lines,
Ultimate stainless headers, Performance Rod and Custom radiator,
Billet Specialties front drive kit, custom-made Wegner Racing
billet valve covers, CPP Hydroboost brake booster and custom-made
air intake. The K5 has a custom leather interior done by the
award-winning Jon Lind in black and white houndstooth. The dash,
console and door panels are wrapped in leather as well to complete
the look. The K5 also comes with a completely restored double-wall
top finished in white. This show-quality build was done with the
best available parts and a high level of attention to detail. **
