Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. It's hard to believe that it has
been 56 years since Pontiac unleashed their GTO on an unsuspecting
public, firing what most enthusiasts agree to be the first shot in
what became known as the Muscle Car Wars. By dropping their
full-size 389 ci V8 into an affordable intermediate, Pontiac
produced a car with a favorable power-to-weight ratio that younger
buyers wanted desperately and could afford with an average job.
Today, most serious collectors have at least one because they are
widely recognized as the progenitors of the muscle car. Our
beautiful 1965 Pontiac GTO Hardtop is a terrific example of these
legendary automobiles. Verified by Pontiac Historical Services
documentation, this gem wears the correct Cameo Ivory (C-C) paint
with red bucket seat interior (216-B) and retains its power
steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and 389 ci V8 (BCN
9778789). Premium upgrades include a Tri-Power induction system, a
Muncie 4-speed manual transmission in place of the Powerglide
automatic, a new front disc conversion for the factory power
brakes, and classic Hurst wheels wrapped in red stripe radial
tires. This is a very solid and attractive car top to bottom, and
please examine the images of the interior closely as the dash,
upholstery, carpet, and headliner are simply outstanding. A worthy
standard bearer for a legendary marque. Street Dreams
(830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with
worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
