1949 CHEVROLET FLEETLINE CUSTOM C-817 If you have been searching
for a unique classic Street Rod that will separate you from all of

you this gorgeous 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Custom! The
restoration/build was done about 15 years ago, but this Chevy
Street Rod still looks beautiful today. It was part of a very large
collection in St. George, Utah, who has a staffed mechanic that
keeps all of the vehicles meticulously maintained. A lot of time &
effort was spent on the body work, which features smoothed hood,
smoothed trunk, one-piece windshield, custom headlights, custom
taillights, 3rd brake light, and several other unique features that
give this car that one-of-a-kind appearance. The paint is a special
Electric Blue Pearl, which changes color from blue to purple
depending on the lighting, and looks outstanding on this car! The
paint has been buffed & polished to a mirror-like shine that
literally explodes in the sunlight. She sits on 16 inch polished
Cragar Mags, wrapped w/ Michelin XGT radial tires all around
(P215/60/R16). You can walk around this car a dozen times and it
simply looks great from every angle. Overall handling has been
greatly improved by installing a Mustang II front suspension, power
front disc brakes, power steering, new air shocks, along w/ a
Posi-traction rear-end and a set of traction bars when it's time to
get up and GO! Open the driver's door and you will find a nice
cream-colored vinyl & cloth bucket-seat interior w/ console. Other
interior features include: matching vinyl & cloth door panels,
matching vinyl dashboard w/ a chrome dash insert and a full set of
VDO vintage-style gauges, tilt-steering column, wrapped Lecarra
4-spoke steering wheel, Auto Gage tachometer (mounted on steering
column), console mounted ratchet shifter, Vintage air conditioning,
Kenwood KDC-135 AM/FM/CD receiver, (6) Jensen speakers, matching
cream-colored carpeting throughout, and front seat-belts. The
interior is very comfortable as well as highly functional, and
although it is an older style interior, it still looks quite nice.
Pop open the hood and you will find a beautifully dressed-up 350ci
Chevy V8 engine that was originally a TPI motor from a 1990
Corvette. The TPI was removed, and a Holley 750cfm carburetor was
installed, which really brought the motor to life. Other features
include: aluminum heads, roller cam, polished Edelbrock Performer
EPS intake manifold, HEI ignition, body-colored finned aluminum
valve covers, serpentine belt-drive system, chrome headers, chrome
air-cleaner assembly, and a large radiator w/ a 15"
thermostat-controlled fan. The motor is linked to a 700R4 automatic
transmission w/ overdrive, which feeds power to a Chevy 10-bolt
rear end w/ 3.55 gear-ratio. She fires up instantly, settling into
a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives & performs beautifully.
This '49 Chevy is a BLAST to drive, and has lots of power & torque
when you apply your right foot firmly to the floor! The power
steering and power front disc brakes make driving around town
effortless, and when it's time to hit the highway, she tracks
straight & true. This car has a very unique appearance that sets it
apart from the others, sure to win some trophies. Again, if you
