It is not easy to find a solid Gen2 Chevy II. Nice ones are scarce
indeed, but this 1966 Nova sport coupe is an outstanding example of
this classic. Based on the VIN (118...), our Nova left the factory
as a somewhat rare model - a 'Super Sport' V-8. It has also been
the beneficiary of a careful restoration with substantial
mechanical upgrades. The Regal Red exterior (R code) was reshot in
2008 and all chrome/stainless trim is in good condition. Tinted
windows, 16" Weld wheels w/Goodyear Eagles and Nova SS badging
complete the exterior package. A restored red interior includes new
vinyl upholstery, carpeting, Sunpro gauges, custom wheel,
AM/FM/cassette stereo system (currently inop) and an SS console
that holds the 4-speed shifter. A 350ci/4-bolt GM crate motor
(based on engine stamping) has replaced the original V8 and is
dressed to look very much like the 327/350hp 'L79' of the era. It
is fitted with an aluminum intake, Holley 600cfm carb and GM 'rams
horn' exhaust manifolds that exit to a stainless exhaust. This
potent small-block is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and 10-bolt
positraction differential with 3.43:1 gears. A solid chassis is
fitted with power steering and upgraded power disc/drum brakes
w/dual master. This rare Chevy II SS is a very nice performance
package - an affordable Bowtie classic for your garage. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
