HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful survivor car in unbelievable condition! The
condition of this car is truly stunning. The underside is crazy
clean for a 72-year-old Maine car. Truly astonishing, mostly
BODY OVERVIEW: Pulled from its native state of Maine, this clean
little Chrysler has been owned by an NC collector for several
years. The body condition is truly astounding, as this car is as
clean and solid as an original 72-year-old car can be. There are
some minor dents and dings to be found, but the fact that this car
hasn't seen a full restoration in the nearly three-quarters of a
century it has existed means it should get some slack.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This Chrysler looks to have been
repainted, albeit quite some time ago. It still shines, and has
minimal deterioration for an older paint job. You'll have to see it
in person to believe it!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: When we see survivor cars like this,
often the interior condition is the most telling reminder of the
vehicle's age. When it comes to this Chrysler, that is not the
case! While the interior does show some signs of aging, the soft
materials are in astonishingly good condition. Even the headliner
looks great! While the front seat has been recently recovered, the
door panels, carpet, and rear seat all appear to be original and
are in great condition for their age. Sitting inside this car is
truly like being in a time machine!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Mechanically, this car functions as expected.
There are some small items that do not work, but the six-cylinder
engine runs smoothly, the unique FluidDrive transmission shifts
well, and it has been preserved beautifully. Even the engine bay is
remarkably clean for an unrestored car of this vintage, and any
collector should be impressed.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The originality! Restored cars are
wonderful, but it's only original once.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you like fresh, restored
vehicles this is probably not for you.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This Chrysler will need a few tweaks, for
small items such as the temperature gauge and radio.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Any Chrysler collector, or
anyone looking to own a piece of automotive history for a fair
