Rarely do you find an awesome two-tone classic like this for a
value price. So take a look at the full vintage package this 1955
Plymouth Savoy offers, but don't dwell too long, because this is a
tempting total package for a lot of us.
1955 was a great year to be a Mopar fan. Plymouth debuted one of
its most radical styles to date. Virgil Exner brought in a sweeping
design that looked fast standing still. The tapered angle of the
front; the way the rounded fender top seemed to stretch from
headlight to tailfin; and the smooth flow of the trunk all gave
this a look that made Chevys and Fords jealous. The yellow and
white two-tone is a great '50 color combo, and this has the right
gloss of a solid investment later in life. And this Plymouth really
knows how to separate the two colors with unique trim lines that
makes this rolling artwork. In fact, all the brightwork has the
kind of shine that send your nostalgia into overdrive. You'll
especially love the true classic cruiser details, like rear fender
skirts and dual aerials.
Just like the exterior, the minty green interior captures the era's
style nicely. The seats have a great look with durable vinyl for
the high traffic and textured cloth inserts for where you sit. We
particularly like the door panels that combine the materials from
the gray carpeting and green seats, and it even leaves room for its
own cool pattern that coordinates with the greens around it. So
this is the kind of presentation that reminds us that this era
spent plenty of time thinking about panache. The dash had a very
symmetrical presentation, and the AM radio in the middle still
turns on. You'll slip behind the classic Plymouth steering wheel,
and you'll love how they really kept an eye on style, right down to
the way the gear lever is put in the dash.
The look under the hood continues this car's vintage presentation.
The oil bath air cleaner, Carter carb, generator, and long block of
the 225 inline six are all part of this time capsule. You even get
the washer fluid bag with classic Mopar graphics. The motor fires
up nicely with the feeling of a well-respected classic. And the
two-speed automatic transmission and a nice ride combine to give
you a great cruising classic.
This has the look you really want in a nostalgia-filled classic,
and the price can't be beat. Call today!!!
