With a powerful V8 and such a slick shine, you'll want to give this
1972 Chevrolet Nova a nickname like "Quicksilver." And as you keep
digging, you'll see it really is a quality build with all the right
pieces you want, including four-wheel disc brakes.
The Cortez silver has a kind of luster that proves it was sprayed
by professional hand. It has a modern metallic glow in the total
package that really lets you see the third-gen Nova's more athletic
sheetmetal. Those tall/crisp front fenders and fastback-like
profile are all direct from the factory. And even the wide and
imposing chrome bumpers are part of this Chevy's style (the shine
was just enhanced for this Nova.) But then you get some added
aggression from upgrades the large cowl hood, billet-style grille,
and 15-inch drag-style polished wheels. And so this one instantly
announces there was a larger investment here than just awesome
paint.
The interior gives you the dark heart of a muscle car in a clean
and complete black. Two rows of bench seats give you plenty of room
for family and friends. There's even a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with
USB input to keep everyone happy. But really, we all know a car
like this is all about the driver. That's why you have the
wood-rimmed GT sports steering wheel. Beyond that, the added
column-mounted tach is just as prominent as the long factory
speedometer. And in the center, there's a full set of auxiliary
readouts right next to the B&M ratchet shifter.
The dark engine bay funnels all your attention to the powerhouse in
the middle. This 350 cubic-inch V8 looks nice with the bold block,
shining etched valve covers, and matching air topper. But what
you'll really love is how this hardy small block is built with the
best go-fast goodies, including aluminum heads, Edelbrock performer
RPM air-gap intake, and topped with a Quick Fuel four-barrel
carburetor. Plus, the long tube headers add even more power as they
also contribute to the rumble of Flowmasters on the dual exhaust.
It's a strong package, and so you'll be glad to see good supporting
components, like an aluminum radiator, separate trans cooler,
reinforced lines, and AN fittings. As a powerful performance
machine, you'll also appreciate upgrade, like the traction bars and
four-wheel power disc brakes. And power steering, the TH350
three-speed automatic transmission, and wide BF Goodrich T/As make
this a great all-around driver.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance records
showing replacement doors, fenders, wheelhouses and quarter panels.
