In 1966, Ford made the decision to allow customers to option their 428 big block into a Thunderbird. Amazingly, this marriage of luxury and performance only cost $86 over the base engine. Covered in the famous FoMoCo blue, the 428 features all the correct 428 decals and has been equipped with a new FAST electronic fuel injection ensure reliable startups and exceptional overall performance. The brake booster and master cylinder have been upgraded along with the A/C to modern R134a standards. Bolted to the big block is a 3-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the stock rear-end. Power flows to the pavement through 15" thunderbird chrome wire wheels that have been wrapped in a set of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Silvertown radial redline tires.
