Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this incredibly rare Kaiser
Manhattan! This Classic vehicle comes in a two-tone brown and tan
paint job paired with a black and tan interior. Powering the
Manhattan is believed to be the original, numbers matching 226ci
straight-six paired to a manual transmission. The first owner of
this vehicle had it in his ownership for 54 years and it has only
had 2 other owners. Some upgrades to this Kaiser include repaint in
the last 20 years, new clutch, new brakes, and rear springs. So, if
you have been in the market for a classic not often seen, this
Kaiser Manhattan is the vehicle for you. Please contact us today
for more information.
When you're the little guy, you have to stand out in order to be
noticed. In the automotive industry of the early 1950s, hearty
sales figures and the difference between black and red ink on the
books were what separated the runners from the almost-ran. General
Motors, Ford, and Chrysler feasted on the American auto market,
leaving independent brands to fight over table scrap sales figures.
Although they are nearly forgotten today, Kaiser-Frazer's 1952 and
1953 Manhattans made up a good portion of the company's sales in
those lean years, and their charming style, proven mechanicals, and
enthusiastic club support make them truly underrated, worthy
collectibles.
