Vehicle Description
1957 Porsche 356A Coupe
VIN 100XXX
Engine no. 65039 matching
Same owner for the past 28 years
One of 1,691 Reutter T1 Coupes produced in 1957. Its internal
factory designation, "Type 1", gave rise to its nickname "T1" among
enthusiasts. An incredibly dry and rust-free project with good gaps
and panel fit. According to the Porsche Certificate of
Authenticity, this Coupe was originally delivered on April 10,
1957, to Oslinger in Mannheim, Germany. The original color
combination was Polyantha Red (5602) with a Beige leatherette
interior. The exterior and interior are basically complete with
glass, lights, exterior trim, seats, VDO instrumentation, and the
original steering wheel. The floor pans and battery box have been
replaced and are solid with no rust. The engine is a 1600cc
flat-four with a manual 4-speed transmission (type 644) and
four-wheel drum brakes. The engine is matching per CoA but is not
running. 356A Coupe projects are becoming very difficult to
find.
