The vibrant metallic paint, sleek body, cool stance, and a ton of
custom details make this 1954 Studebaker Pickup distinctly awesome.
But when you see that this full package is also built to be quite
comfy, it all makes for an irresistible classic offered for quite a
nice price.
A Studebaker is always an interesting and rare sight, but this one
has far more distinction than just the name on its side. After all,
not only did Studebaker never offer purple for its pickups, but
also there's a ton of metallic element in this one that really
announces its something special. And while the straight sides of
the truck bed remain quite factory, just about everything else was
custom done for a sportier style. The front end is fully color
matched, and includes a lightweight fiberglass louvered hood and
large headlights that resemble a Porsche. The cab has had inches
chopped out of the roof, and the door handles were expertly shaved.
The rear has a classic Studebaker script, but the tall taillights
and big dual exhaust tips really you this is more than just a
classic cruiser. And when you look at the profile the large 17-inch
Cragar SS wheels join the forward-leaning stance for a seriously
sporty appearance.
Pop the remote door openers to reveal a well-done custom interior.
The exterior purple returns to accent the custom seating,
Studebaker logo headrests, door tops, and carpet piping. It's
joined by some cool/classic white tuck and roll inserts on the seat
and door panels for a very vintage street machine attitude. There
are classic items, like the dash panel and the heater installed
under it. These are joined by nice upgrades like power windows, a
tilt steering column, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. Plus, there's plenty
of hot rod appeal with the smooth three-spoke steering wheel, tall
Lokar shifter, and tach mounted prominently on top of the dash.
The 4.3-liter V6 is a great motor to have under the hood. It has
earned a hardy reputation in more modern pickups like Chevy's S-10,
and this one is even topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
You'll also notice newer components like the brake booster and
aluminum radiator. The motor fires up nicely, and the three-speed
automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The Fatman front suspension
not only helps with lowered front stance, but also gives you a
desirable tubular A-arm setup. Power steering, power brakes, and
front discs complete an easy cruising package that makes it great
to cruise this Studebaker.
The sale comes complete with service manuals, maintenance records,
and plenty of build receipts. This is true distinction in both the
packaging and upgrades. So if you love a driver that's also a
guaranteed head-turner, call today!
