Vehicle Description
STK 2855 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S-3
The Laguna Type S3 was Chevrolet's replacement for the Chevelle SS
performance model. This 1974 Type S3 454 was the beneficiary of a
complete frame-off restoration and was featured in 'Muscle Car
Review' magazine in March 2011 and an article commemorating the
50th Anniversary of the Chevelle. This S-3 was well equipped from
the factory and the original build sheet is included in the sale.
The exterior was professionally refinished in 2-tone Medium Red
(code 74) with white side accent stripping and a new vinyl roof
that is in good condition. The Type S3 model had a unique urethane
front fascia/grill, coach windows, remote sport mirrors and GM 15x7
Rally wheels w/Cooper performance radials. A factory S3 interior
included 4-spoke sport steering wheel, full gauge cluster w/tach
and wood-grain vinyl accents. Seating has been reupholstered in
pleated white vinyl w/red piping and the driver's Strato-bucket
seat has a swivel function for easy entry. Dash/dashpad, carpeting,
headliner, sport wheel - everything is in very good condition.
Convenience features include: factory air conditioning (needs TLC),
tinted windows and aftermarket AM/FM stereo (currently inop). The
factory AM radio w/8-track has been reconditioned and is included
in the sale. A detailed engine compartment houses the 454 LS-4 -
the last full model year for the 'big block' in the Chevelle
lineup. (By some accounts, the 454 was briefly available during
only the first few months of 1975 model year.) The motor has been
rebuilt and receipts are included in the sale. It is backed by a
3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic (code M40) automatic transmission and
factory differential with 3.42:1 gearing. The chassis incorporates
variable-ratio power steering, power disc/drum brakes w/dual master
and the F40 suspension package that added front/rear sway bars and
upgraded springs/shocks. This rare Laguna Type S3 will be a
handsome restored addition to your Bowtie garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
"AS IS".
