1970 SS Chevelle Convertible. Complete professional restoration
just completed on a 100% rust free all original body panel
California(Van Nuy plant built code L in Vin)SS Chevelle
convertible. This is the cleanest original 70 SS Chevelle
convertible body/frame you will find. The underside, trunk pan and
frame are immaculate all original and with no factory undercoat.
The car was never taken off the frame because the underside and
body are flawless. No expense frame on restoration completed last
year with 500 miles(over 100k in invoice). No build sheet. Factory
code 75 Cranbury red car with red interior and black top(as noted
on original cowl tag). Complete period correct 454 standard bore
engine fully built by premier engine builder(only the best
components to run on today's ethanol fuels). Turbo 400 also fully
built to perform. 12 bolt GM rear with 373 ratio and Eaton posi
unit. The drivetrain was blanced and blue printed to perform and
hold it's own with muscle car heritage. This is a reliable car that
you can drive daily with confidence(you not be scared to drive it).
I had a vision and spared no expense to achieve it. This car was
engineered(in all aspects). This is a factory AC car that blows ice
cold(fully rebuilt system and converted to R12). PS, PB, Power
convertible top. Factory bench seat car as noted on cowl tag(very
rare and correct in Suport Sport cars). I love a bench seat...if
you prefer buckets it's easily converted(I have a 4spd or bucket
console SS dash cluster). Suspension package is all tubular and
handling is sports car inspired. Braking is modern and on point.
Exhaust custom mandrel bent and factory with 2.5 inch for
performance. The car runs 190 degrees all day long with AC
running(I live in South Florida and the temp is 110 degrees
regularly during summer season)during regular use or in traffic(no
cooling issues of any kind). The car was just treated to 15k paint
work and new Electron Convertible top(complete system fully
rebuilt)
