common thing to hear, even in the collector car market. Although
uncommon, it's not a bad thing. As a potential buyer of a vehicle
like this you know that it's been well cared for over the years.
This is what Jay Leno describes as his favorite type of vehicle,
'original and unrestored'. You'll see there have been a few very
minor changes made to the car since it rolled off the dealer lot,
but overall this highly original Caprice is intriguing. Originally
a Michigan car, this Caprice rolled off the lot at Pishion
Spaulding Chevrolet right here in Grand Rapids. The original owner
of the car was a saleswoman who owned it for only 2 years before
our clients got a hold of it in 1970. Finished in an attractive
blue hue, with a black vinyl top, the coke bottle shaped body is in
great condition. A few chips in the paint can be found in a few
places around the car, which have been carefully touched up, but
the condition of the body, and the panel fitment is great. Open the
doors and you're given a firsthand look at the black vinyl trimmed
interior which, like the exterior is original. Front vinyl and
cloth trimmed bench seat, column shifter, tilt wheel, MultiPlex
radio, factory A/C, wood trim, sweeping speedometer, clock, and
three spoke steering wheel are highlights of the tidy interior.
Under the hood is the original 327ci V8 mated to an automatic
transmission. Power steering and power brakes (disc front) are nice
options, and the car has been treated to Kendall oil since day one
of our client's ownership. Recently the valve cover gaskets,
exhaust, and wheels and tires were replaced. The wheels are a Chevy
Rally wheel style, so they're not too far off the mark of what the
car would've originally come with. The underside of the car is in
solid condition thanks to always being stored during Michigan
winters. 50 years owned, V8, power steering, power brakes, factory
A/C are all pretty great things to hear about a vintage Caprice
like this one. The coolest thing in our opinion though is that this
car is original and unrestored. This Caprice is ready for a new
home where it will continue to always be garage kept. Be sure to

Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you
for looking.
