A very nice, recently refurbished 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. This classic Italian convertible was a part of the 2nd generation of Alfa spiders known as the Kam tail spiders. With their larger 2 L Aluminum engines fitted with SPICA mechanical fuel injection from the factory and mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox these cars were notably different than the earlier Duetto's because of their flat backs, modified body lines and more luxurious interiors. Starting in 2016 the previous owner began a well-documented mechanical restoration of this car including new brakes from the calipers to the lines to the pads and the discs. He also installed a new fuel tank, new fuel sending unit, new fuel pump and filters. All of the cooling system hoses were changed as well as the rear springs were replaced, a new exhaust system was fitted, a new convertible top was added, a new head gasket was installed while a complete head job (including valves, guides, etc.) was performed. New camshaft seals, valve cover and oil pan gasket's were added as well as an intake gasket. A new clutch, pressure plate and release bearing were added, new front universal joint installed as well as a clutch master and slave cylinder. In 2020 new tires were fitted to the refinished original Alfa Campagnolo alloys. Also, a rebuilt SPICA fuel injection pump, belt and new thermostatic actuator were professionally installed as well as a new oil pressure sending unit and a thorough professional tuning of the fuel and ignition systems. Complete, professional paint and body work was completed on August 5, 2020. During the restoration process the floorplans have also been replaced. The car was then fitted with a new full carpet and carpet lining set, new seat covers professionally installed over new seat foams with a new dash cap and a reworked Console completing the interior refurbishment. Though the convertible top is new, the car comes with its original boot cover, spare tire, jack and lug wrench.
