This nice car spent most of its life in Pennsylvania. The condition of the car indicates it was garage kept, driven sparingly and probably never driven in the winter.
The underside of the car looks fantastic. There is no rust. The interior has held up better than most. The dash is not cracked or warped, the door panels are not faded and the headliner is not sagging. If you know these cars, you know that these are typical issues and that they are caused by exposure to the sun.
This car is highly optioned. It has the durable Oldsmobile 307 V8, 200r4 overdrive transmission and 2.56 rear end gearing with Positraction. It is equipped with full power options that begin with power steering and brakes, the fronts are disc. The windows, locks and seat adjustment are also electrically powered.
Creature comfort was a focus when this car was ordered. It has Air Conditioning, Soft Ray tinted glass, tilt steering and reclining seats. The front seat is split bench with folding arm rest.
The stereo is factory and has AM/FM and Cassette. The antenna is powered and automatically raises and lowers with the radio power switch. The wipers are intermittent. There are lots of courtesy lamps.
While these cars weren’t powerful enough to race, this one has both the Gauge package and the Handling package. It has dual exhaust which was recently replaced with Pypes stainless and Violator Mufflers. Nice tone, but not too loud.
The interior upholstery is in fine condition. There is not a sign of smoking, children or pets. The color is Ruby Red. It is very plush and comfortable.
The Burgundy Metallic paint is original. It shows minimal flaws and just a few tiny touch ups. It shines nicely. The optional bright moldings set it off nicely. The Burgundy vinyl top was recently replaced due to shrinkage. Dual outside mirrors enhance visibility. The dealer added sunroof enhances the driving experience. It does not leak, even while going through the carwash.
The restored 442 chrome wheels really set this car off. The center caps are tri-bar spinners. The BF Goodrich Radial TA tires are almost new. The entire presentation is quite appealing.
The most recent owner is a very capable mechanic. He removed the smog pump. It is in a box in the trunk. He replaced the belts, hoses, fuel pump and water pump. He rebuilt the entire braking system. He also replaced the intake and valve cover gaskets. The battery was recently replaced. This is all important maintenance that is often overlooked and postponed.
Our inspection determined that all features work properly with exception of the Cruise Control. We are investigating and will repair it if possible. There is a full-sized spare in the trunk along with the correct jack and wrench. There are two sets of keys. The original floor mats still protect the carpet. The original steering wheel is in the trunk. It has one crack, so it was replaced by the sportier version.
This car has been driven just under 109,000 miles. It is certainly capable of many more miles. I would expect that it will be driven and enjoyed. It is a very capable driver that could be used daily. No matter how many miles you decide to put on, you can feel proud that you are driving a very attractive automobile. And you will be driving it in great comfort.
This car has lead a nice life. Its condition indicates that it was cared for. It is ready to impress you like it impressed me.
