1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro For Sale - Factory Tuxedo Black,
Concours Award Winner LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969
Chevrolet COPO Camaro The legendary COPO Camaro's produced in 1969
are among the most sought-after Camaros ever factory built. Unlike
many performance cars of the time, these Camaros carried absolutely
no external identification starting the engine size or horsepower.
With their incredible performance from the L72 427 and the rarity
of not even being an advertised option, they have an incredible
following. The Central Office Production Order (COPO) process was a
method for dealers or GM itself to request the manufacture of
vehicles configured differently than the previously planned models
for that model year. As GM had a corporate policy that limited F
body and X body cars to 400 cubic inch engines, special dealers
used the COPO process to get around this policy and install the
best GM high performance engines into their favorite platforms.
This 1969 COPO Camaro was sold new at Maxton Chevrolet in Columbus,
Ohio to its original owner Joseph Patrick. Mr. Patrick factory
ordered his new COPO in the highly desirable code 10 Tuxedo Black
paint with a red pinstripe and black interior which make this COPO
an extremely rare and highly collectible example. Open the hood and
you will find the L72 427/425hp COPO engine backed by Muncie M22
Rockcrusher 4 speed sending power to the factory 4.56 12-bolt
differential. This COPO came optioned with Am radio, door edge
guards, power disc brakes, cowl induction hood and Rallye wheels
with white stripe biasply tires. It also comes with a second set of
painted steel wheels with polyglass tires. Having received a
complete no-expense spared exacting rotisserie restoration, the
entire car has been gone over and restored from front to back and
top to bottom. Many original and NOS components were used
throughout the restoration to ensure the highest level of
correctness. Once completed this COPO was shown at the American
Camaro Association in the Legends Certification judging system. It
achieved level 3 and received "Top Flight" certification and the
car surpassed their highest level of judging. This COPO is truly
for the collector who appreciates the highest level of restoration
quality. This car comes documented with Camaro Nationals Legends
judging sheets, ownership history, affidavit from the original
owner, period photographs and more. This COPO Camaro is truly an
exceptionally restored example that would be the highlight of any
collection. Rarely do cars come up for sale that have been restored
to this level of quality, in this highly sought after color
combination with these options. Additional Details: 1969 CHEVROLET
