1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro For Sale - 1 Of Only 201 Yenko Camaros
Ever Built In 1969 LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969
Chevrolet Yenko Camaro At the height of the muscle car era, many
dealers were heavily involved in racing programs; that sometimes
rolled over into street cars. Many of the dealers would offer
certain packages or add ons to performance cars, Nickey Chevrolet,
Berger Chevrolet and Baldwin Motion were great examples, but
perhaps the most famous is Yenko Chevrolet. For 1969, utilizing
GM's COPO ordering system, they provided incredible performance in
the Camaro with the L72 427 engine, and their own additions. A
total of 201 were produced in 1 of 6 available colors. Presented
here is a very nicely restored example of a factory 1969 Yenko
Camaro. Sold new at M.B. Francis Chevrolet in Brighton MO, this
very well restored factory code 71 LeMans Blue Yenko Camaro with
white striping and black interior showcases many of the more
popular features. Powered by the prerequisite COPO L72 427 that was
factory rated at 425hp, backed by a 4 speed manual transmission.
The Yenko SC specific striping and Torque Thrust style wheels give
the car the perfect look complemented by the sYc embroidery on the
seat backs, finished off with the column mounted suntach and 3
gauge pod under the dash, additions to an otherwise sparse yet
purposeful interior. This Yenko Camaro is a great example of the
rarest of the rare, a special edition of the extremely sought after
COPO Camaro that was an instant legend the day certain folks
discovered COPO code 9561. This Yenko Camaro is listed in the
Supercar Registry and documenting where it was originally
delivered. With only about 200 ever produced, and most of them used
for racing, how many remain? The true answer to that question is
anyone's guess, making this real Yenko that much more special, it
would be a great addition to your collection. Additional Details:
