For Sale: 1933 Ford Cabriolet in Farmington, Utah

Vehicle Description

Price Just Reduced! 1933 Model 40 Cabriolet Roadster.  This 1933 Ford Cabriolet is finished in blue and black two-tone over a brown interior and is powered by a 221ci flathead V8 paired with a 3-speed manual transmission.  These early Ford Deluxe Convertible Cabriolets are very rare, only 7,852 built, and are now very difficult to find.  The car is all metal (no fiberglass here!) and finished in a classic shade of blue with metallic silver double pinstripe and matching 17” wire wheels. The interior and rumble seat are finished in brown vinyl. The car is powered by its correct and original 221ci Flathead V8 with 21-stud aluminum heads, single barrel downdraft carburetor and 3-speed floor-shift manual transmission. This Cabriolet has several notable options and features the beautiful Greyhound Hood ornament/radiator cap (which was a rarely-ordered option that year), deluxe cowl lights, twin horns, (fun supplemental ah-ooo-gah horn which is fun for parades), front and rear bumperettes, electric wiper, new period-original taupe rubber floormat, cowl vent, beveled rear-view mirror, rumble-seat, new yellow fog lights on chrome mounts, new gas tank and more.  The car has suicide doors and rides on 32-spoke painted wire wheels with V8 emblem hubcaps and 5.25/5.50-17 Firestone Deluxe Champion gum-dipped tires and includes a rear-mounted spare.  The interior, exterior, motor and undercarriage are detailed and fitted with correct components, all in very good condition.  The mileage of 73,947 is believed to be correct, but cannot be verified.  Compression tests 80-90 on every cylinder and engine has great oil pressure, consistently running at 160-170 degrees.  For safety and ease of driving, the cowl and rear lights have been hooked up to also function as turn signals, the brakes have been converted from the original temperamental, unreliable mechanical brakes to hydraulic brakes and electrical system has been converted to 12 Volt complete with after-market oil pressure, fuel and engine temperature gauges.  Car also includes period-authentic original 1933 Utah license plate.  Located in Farmington, Utah, this Cabriolet is now offered for sale on a clean Utah title in the seller's name.
