The C4 Generation Corvette was a complete re-engineer from prior
Corvette generations. So much that for the first time in 40 years,
1983, a Corvette was not produced for that model year. Everything
was thrown back to the drawing board. The C4 boasted a completely
new chassis, modern styling, all new independent suspension, light
weight wheels, all new braking system, etc. In a time where raw
horsepower was being choked off by US regulations, the C4 engineers
focused on handling and road hugging performance, a concept that
set the table for the more powerful cars of future generations.

powered by its 350 CID V8 engine, automatic transmission and rear
