Vehicle Description
1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille -390ci V8 - Dual Range Hydramatic

the time that this stunning car rolled off the production line,
Cadillac was an auto manufacturer that built cars to the highest
standard - world class automobiles that were luxury vehicles with
all the best options offered. Many standard options on this car
were options on other vehicles at the time, and on top of the
standard options, Cadillac offered even more great options to make
the driving experience incredible. This beautiful Coupe DeVille is
a jaw dropping automobile, and it's well worth taking the time to
look at all the design details. The styling details on the exterior
culminate as a beautiful car that looks to be fit for a king.
Bright chrome trim, flowing lines, styling cues taken from rockets
and jets, and a large glass area around the car are just a few
examples of the futuristic Cadillac design of the day. One design
aspect of the exterior that we found interesting are the round
details found in the grille of the car. In reading the Cadillac
vehicle kit provided by GM to dealers, those round details are
described as, tapered concave tipped projectiles. An interesting
way to describe a design detail on a luxury car, but it does go
right along with the aeronautic inspired details like tail fins,
and the round afterburner-like tail light treatment. This car is in
very good and solid condition. The body was fully repainted in 2014
in the original color of Olympic White (code 12). Prior to the body
being repainted rust repair was done on the fenders both front and
rear. Using new metal, the fenders were carefully fixed to maintain
a factory look. The interior design of the car was a big highlight
in the eyes of Cadillac. Many new standard features and design
aspects like a lower transmission tunnel, armrests, cigarette
lighters, lighted ashtrays, courtesy lights, power windows, push
button radio, electric clock door panel reflectors, and windshield
washer controls were standard items in this luxurious car. The
interior of this particular Caddy was originally finished in
Silver-Black Cambray Pattern Metallic Nylon with White Florentine
grain leather bolsters and trim. (Code 40) Quite a fancy sounding
interior trim package. The car is currently finished in black and
white trim that follows the same pattern as the original trim and
was installed in 2012. Matching door panels carry the color scheme
throughout the car's interior. Brushed metal handles/cranks and
accents throughout the interior break up the yards of black and
white upholstery. The trunk is described by Cadillac as having a
large capacity. When opened and looked at compared to today's
standards, it looks as if it's the size of a small apartment.
However, the trunk is tidy, lined with carpeting, and includes a
spare tire. Maintenance has been high on the priority list for this
Cadillac. We have documentation for many maintenance items that
have been done over the years. Brake system maintenance, spark
plugs, distributor, rebuild carburetor, wheel bearings, alternator,
new tires, are among the many repair items that were completed. The
underside of the car is tidy and even shows a bit of overspray of
the factory red oxide primer. The X-frame is in good solid
condition and the rest of the underside is solid. Be sure to check
