Vehicle Description
CMC is proud to have one of the most original 1969 Hurst Olds
available today. This is H/O # 441. Residing in Southern
California, this Hurst Olds retains 80% of the original paint which
still has a remarkable shine. Being garage kept from new and being
equipped with Factory Air Conditioning, this is one very rare piece
of muscle car history!
In 1968 GM teamed up with Demmer Engineers to produce the Hurst
Olds and get around the government ban on producing a midsize car
with a 455 CI engine. After 1969, when the Hurst Olds proved to be
successful, the government lifted the ban and all 1970 auto
manufactures would be allowed to use big CI engines. The Hurst Olds
played a very special part in the muscle car evolution and as a
result of this, the 1969 Hurst Olds is a coveted muscle car.
The 1969 Hurst Olds was a very special car and used many unique
parts. The 1969 H/0 has a special Ram Air Hood, Ram Air air cleaner
,English Racing mirrors, Strato-Bucket Seats with gold strips
running over headrest, Rear Spoiler, H/O 15" chrome wheels. Hurst
Dual Gate Shifter, Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, Front and Rear Seat
belts, Dual Exhaust System, Rally Pack Instrument Cluster, Deluxe
Sport Steering wheel, Power Steering, Power Brakes, and Dual
trumpet exhaust. Our Hurst-Olds is Demmer car # 441. This was the
441st car out of 906 to be ever built. This one is even more rare
being equipped with Factory AIr Conditioning. These were factory
produced hot rods, and the survival rate was low. This car is
documented in the Hurst Olds Registry as well.
Powered by the original Numbers Matching 455 H.O., the VIN number
is stamped into the side of the block. The car retains the original
High performance rare "D" heads and the original intake manifold.
The car also still retains the original "OH" stamped special
calibrated turbo Hydramatic transmission. The VIN number is stamped
on the side of transmission as well.
This car was seldom used, and only has 55,775 Actual miles. The car
was garage kept for its entire life and was never left outside. The
car is very solid and original. It still retains about 80% of
original paint due to some touch ups over the years. The original
bumpers show incredibly well. The original numbers matching engine
runs strong and is very healthy sounding. The original transmission
shifts very smoothly as well. The car still retains the original
windshield which appears to be flawless. The original dash pad is
supple and very clean. All gauges are crisp, and the Am Fm radio
still plays. The car still has an all original interior from the
carpet to the headliner which all show clean and well. The trunk
compartment is very original as well. The original chrome H/O
wheels show amazingly and are mounted on the correct Goodyear
Polyglas GT tires. This car even retains all four original T-3
headlamps. This is one extremely well kept Hurst Olds.
After reviewing this Hurst Olds, I hope you see how this car is a
very hard one to replace. Being an unrestored survivor that still
shows beautifully well with the numbers matching drivetrain, this
car is very hard to duplicate. We have this car priced very
realistically so give us a call today.
