1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS Convertible Exceptional This is a truly
amazing high restoration example in turquoise poly--------a color
rarely seen. This is a no-expense spared very high end restoration
that will rival some of the best known for its merits. Born with a
327 engine originally, it has been upgraded to a brand new GM 350
Crate Motor (original 327 engine is included). Engine has been
fully tuned and upgraded to throttle body fuel injection. Starts
every time on 1st crank of the key. Engine is very strong/powerful
and has less than 1000 miles on it since new. Transmission is
automatic, rebuilt and shifts flawlessly through all detents. New
Torque Convertor & Fly wheel. New High torque starter. New Power
Steering Pump. New Water Pump. New aluminum radiator. Power brake
conversion to disc brakes. Even the suspension has been upgraded to
a Hotchkis suspension for an adjustable ride to suit your driving
preference. Vehicle has an air-ride setup that can be aired up in
the trunk area. Ceramic headers. Subjective improvements include a
fully functional illuminated hood tach. New radial tires and
period-correct rims. The undercarriage of this car is as nice as
the exterior. Paint is as close to perfect as you will find for
this restored driver. It's 2-stage base/clear, very deep, and has
excellent brilliance. It really is quite striking. All the chrome
trim is present and undamaged. All exterior lights works as they
should. Glass is perfect, manual windows work easily and seal
tightly against the convertible top. Convertible top is older, but
you'd never know it for its exceptional condition. This is a
rust-free gorgeous restoration. Front & rear Bumpers have been
show-chromed. New 2 1/2' Exhaust system has a great rumble to it.
Interior is white vinyl and is literally flawless. The dash is a
work of art and all the instruments work correctly as they should.
Note the rare factory clock on the dash that works fine. There is
no seat bolster wear, heal wear to carpet.
