This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette strikes the right balance of added
performance and proper vintage. That's why the numbers-matching V8
was professionally rebuilt and now has added power and flair. And
speaking of flair, did you check out the custom paint and leather
interior?
This one wants to get noticed, and it all starts with the paint. It
may have started out life as an attention-grabbing yellow, but they
decided to top it with a full professional respray in turquoise.
Not only does that make for a unique tone amongst the other C3s out
there, but also there's a nice hint of metallic that gives it the
appeal of an ocean wave every time the sunlight hits it. It's such
nice paint that we love having it on one of these later cars that
has the color-matched bumpers. Crisp lines, tinted glass, Rally
wheels, and bright dual exhaust tips are all part of this full
package designed to impress.
The light doeskin interior is the factory-correct color, and when
you take the T-tops out, the bright personality of both the
interior and exterior makes it feel like this car is on island
time. The high back bucket seats are finished in leather, and they
fold flush with the rear trunk area for better cargo functionality.
You've also got great features like power windows, a tilt steering
column, an AM/FM digital tuner with cassette, and factory air
conditioning running modern R134a. It all combines to deliver a
coupe that makes you happy to go for a drive.
Under the hood is a clean and tidy engine bay that looks like it
was given plenty of the right investments. And while there have
been some big improvements, the real secret here is that it still
has its numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. The block was rebuilt
by Jasper for a mild performance spec, and today it also includes a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum Performer intake,
HEI ignition, and long tube headers that add power while adding to
the rumble of the dual exhaust. It's a strong-running motor, and
its mated to the numbers-matching three-speed automatic
transmission also rebuilt by Jasper. So it has a confident feeling
when you drive. And speaking of confidence on the road, the front
and rear independent suspensions were given nice investments with
fresh components. Power steering, power brakes, and four-wheel
discs complete this awesome driver's package.
Complete with build receipts and owner's manual, this is the sleek
coupe with upgrade power and upgraded personality - and yet, still
respects its history. So you know you need to get your hands on
this deal. Call today!!!
