1971 AMC Javelin AMX for sale. Rebuilt (2019) 360ci V8 down to the block. Block was blueprinted and bored 40 over. All new pistons, roller rockers, aluminum heads, edlebrock intake, mild cam, has about 400hp at the wheels. Chrome hooker headers. Engine is also chromed out with alternator and chrome brackets.
Engine is original, numbers matching and has a serpentine belt as a more modern add. Holly 650 carb and electric fuel pump top off the beautifully finished engine. Car also has new leaf springs, rear end was rebuilt, 4-speed hurst shifter and Borg Warner tranny. No rust on this car at all. I have title from Maryland but haven’t registered it in Connecticut. It does have Hagerty insurance currently. Starts right up every time even after sitting for a few days. I have all receipts from engine rebuild and can give the number of the shop that completed it for more questions. The car does need interior work. It needs carpets and headliner. Drivers seat needs to be reupholstered.
In total, I have put over $28,000 into the car. I am asking 16,500 obo.
