1989 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Car History
In 1989 Chevrolet made only 9,749 Corvette Convertibles which were
considered the grand touring edition of America's exotic car and it
offered a stunning combination of advanced design, luxurious
comfort and stellar performance with 0 to 60 MPH in only 5.4
seconds.
We have a great white with red interior 1989 Chevrolet Corvette
Convertible with just over 54000 original miles here at Adventure
Classics for you to see.
Engine & Drivetrain
At the heart of Corvette performance in our 1989 is the 5.7 Liter
V8 with TPI. In addition to one of the world's most advanced fuel
management systems, this V8 features aluminum cylinder heads,
high-left camshaft and a low-restriction dual exhaust system. The
result is exotic-class power with dramatic low-end punch with its
4-speed automatic overdrive transmission.
Power is not the only advantage this Corvette has as it also sports
a Bosch ABS II Anti-Lock Braking System. This advanced braking
system helps the driver to retain maneuverability under full
braking.
The precisely engineered Corvette suspension includes
fiberglass-composite, front and rear transverse springs with
computer-selected spring rates, a rear independent design with
5-link connections and forged-aluminum components that rides on the
factory 17" x 9 " cast-aluminum.
Interior
Our Corvette has the great red deeply contoured sport bucket seats
and matching red interior, dash, carpet, and door panels. Other
features include the electronically tuned Delco AM/FM stereo music
system with Seek and Scan, cassette tape player, digital clock and
power antenna.
It comes loaded with all power options such as Air conditioning,
power steering and brakes, power locks and windows, tilt column,
digital/analog instrument panel and the digital gauges, and the
black, manually operated, aerodynamically designed Convertible top
with headliner and acrylic rear window.
Exterior
This1989 is unmistakably Corvette, from great white paint of the
body and on the dramatic sweep of the hood, retractable halogen
headlamps, halogen fog lamps, and front and rear cornering lamps,
and of course, corrosion-proof fiberglass body panels.
