Vehicle Description
This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 has an awesome style with a
cool/coordinated color combo, T-tops, a loaded interior, proper V8
power, and the control of four-on-the-floor. It all makes for the
kind of car that gives you the vintage looks you love, and the
modern appeal you really want for driving.
This Camaro is striking for how it's thoughtfully put together. The
factory-correct white is always a smart choice for a classic. Plus,
it has the right high contrast black accenting for performance
pieces like the hood scoop, blackout grille package, and 15-inch
alloys. This coupe comes from the era when the factory was having
fun with graphics packages, and this one really seems to have
gotten it right. The triple tone red stripes sweep under the front
air spoiler and run down the sides. A similar color theme is used
to accent the air induction hoods and full-width rear spoiler. It's
a package that has an unmistakable classic style, but the colors
are timeless, and so it still looks terrific today. It also helps
that you can tell the whole car has been treated with respect. This
coupe has averaged less than 2k miles annually, and the sheetmetal
shows this seldom use with its straight and clean panels.
The T-tops let you open this one up to the world, and we know
you're going to love doing exactly that. All the red accenting of
the exterior gets you ready for the full red interior, and so, you
have a well-coordinated appearance inside and out. The low mileage
means a great-looking classic package, and the velour upholstery
means it's easy to enjoy even on sunny days. This is loaded with
factory features, like power windows, power locks, electric rear
defogger, power steering, and provisions for factory air
conditioning (will need servicing to blow cold again.) Plus, the
stereo was upgraded to a modern AM/FM/CD unit that even has
Bluetooth (the factory radio also comes with the sale.) It's a
terrific driver's setup where the NK4 sports steering wheel is
mounted on a tilt column. It gives you a clear view to the full
gauge package with large speedo and tach. And you just know that
shifter is calling out for your right hand.
The Z28 was the only 1980 Camaro to get the 350 cubic-inch motor,
and so it's great to see such a correct a clean presentation under
the hood. The engine bay has a true time capsule look, right down
to the air intake that seals to the fresh air hood. This feeds the
four-barrel carburetor on its way to the torque-filled V8. This
motor is a strong-runner, and you get to take full control with the
correct Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. Plus, power disc
brakes in front and a thick sway bar in the rear make for the right
kind of driver's package where you won't be able to resist adding
to the low odometer.
Highly original, absolutely loaded, and exceptionally sharp - this
is the low mileage Z28 that's an irresistible total package. So
