Originally commissioned by Formula 1 world champion, Jenson Button while living in Los Angeles, this Wrangler has been extensively upgraded. Starting off life as Wrangler Unlimited with the Rubicon trim package, the Wrangler was sent directly to Starwood Motors in Texas, a go-to for highly customizable Jeep Wranglers. The Wrangler had an original MSRP of $44,655 and then over $34,000 worth of upgrades by Starwood.
The upgrades include a Starwood specialty of Kevlar Satin Black paint with body side rivets, Bugatti Baleno Black leather interior (to replace the original cloth seats), Alpine head unit, Sprintex supercharger, side body armor, Front Grumper bumper with Black bolts and Smittybilt X20 winch, JW LED headlights, RECON tail lights, 50-inch LED light bar with double stacked LED spot lights, XRC Gen2 rear bumper with LED light inserts and Smittybilt rear access door, Teraflex 3-inch lift kit with 9550 shocks and 20-inch Method Race wheels wrapped in 37-inch BF Goodrich Trail Grappler tires. The Wrangler was then further tuned and calibrated in its most recent ownership with a Diablo-Sport performance tune and 4.88 front and rear gear ratios.
The Wrangler is in exceptional condition throughout. After Jenson Button’s ownership in California, since Button’s ownership, it has been owned by a well-known car collector and kept in East Hampton, NY for sunny day local use. With only 4,000 miles from new, this highly customized Wrangler is ready for immediate use on or off the road.
