Vehicle Description
1967 Ford Candy Apple Red Mustang Hardtop
Why This Vehicle is Special
How rare is it to find a restored 1967 Mustang in the factory shade
of Candy Apple Red paint, bucket seat interior, and a power upgrade
to a great small block Ford engine? Rare indeed, but that is what
we have here at Skyway Classics.
Mechanical
The Vin number AND Trim Tag numbers tell it all, 7FO1T153079 shows
it is a 1967 Mustang, built in F Dearborn, MI, 01 is a Hardtop, and
had originally a T 200 cubic inch six cylinder engine with a
1-barrel carb.
The Trim Tag also verifies it was a 65A Coupe w/ Standard Interior,
painted from the factory with a T Candy Apple Red paint job and 2D
Standard Bucket seat interior, built the 25 day A of January, in 55
St. Louis, with a 2 2.83:1 Standard Differential, and a W C-4
Automatic Transmission.
But now it has a way more powerful engine transplanted in the
meticulous, clean, detailed, and painted engine compartment.
That engine compartment houses a very modified small block Ford
that has a chrome plated aluminum intake, chrome polished valve
covers and open element air cleaner, performance distributor and
spark plug wires, full tube stainless headers with a dual exhaust
system, hi-performance fuel system, chrome performance carburetor,
chrome chassis bars, performance radiator, MSD electronics and
coil, chrome power steering and brakes, and more.
It delivers great acceleration and is shifted thru a floor mounted
performance shifter and red knob to the 3-speed C-4 automatic
transmission and a H.D. Ford rear end. This Mustang looks fast and
is fast too!
Interior
The interior looks stunning with its black bucket seats and
carpeting, matching door panels as well as the back bench seat. It
has a wood three-spoke billet sport steering wheel, full factory
gauges, accessory gauges, performance tach with an RPM Rev-limiter,
Ford Mustang floor mats, and a great AM/FM stereo radio system
too.
Exterior
The 1967 Mustang has been refinished in its factory born with color
of Candy Apple Red flowing over the scooped hood, factory side
scoops, and great fenders, as well as the Mustang emblems, bright
metal rocker panel moldings, trim, and the iconic rear gas tank
cap.
Conclusion
The 1967 Mustang Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is a
great example of the sporty Mustangs of the 60's that many men and
women bought that year, stylish, fast, but most of all, a lot of
fun!
It has restored and upgraded and this has to be one of the nicest
1967 Mustangs for sale anywhere in the U.S.
