easily one of the most attractive luxury sedans on the market, and
it's one of those cars that looks even better in person than in
photos. €"Edmunds The KBB automotive resource provided more detail
on the car's exhilarating driving experience: The 2014
Mercedes-Benz CLS550 is a true driver's car. Power comes from a
hearty 402-hp 4.7-liter twin-turbo V8 that allows the sedan to
launch strong from the line and accelerate effortlessly in
mid-sprint. Passing power is in abundance, to say the least. The
KBB testers were also impressed with the interior appointments:
Elevated levels of detail can be found in the dash design, the
intricate stitching on the seats and door panels, and the unique
wood trim colors and textures. The CLS' cockpit is defined by
near-perfect ergonomics and a solid, tactile feel. Seats are highly
bolstered and designed for both spirited driving and long-distance
cruising. The black-on-black 2014 Mercedes CLS550 offered here is a
striking three-owner, all-wheel-drive example. Originally delivered
in New Jersey, the car has accumulated just under 81,000 miles, or
roughly a below-average 13,500 miles per-year. The car has
benefitted from regular, routine maintenance, many services
performed by Mercedes dealerships. The Carfax report (available via
a link on the GarageKeptMotors site) shows two minor, likely
cosmetic repairs to the front end, in all likelihood from
parking-lot incidents. The paint across the sumptuous lines of the
car's exterior shows no obvious flaws, and the body is free of
dents or damage. The incidents mentioned above have been
professionally corrected with no sign of any difference from stock
condition. Indeed, the surfaces across the entire front of the
car-including the complex LED lighting, the grille with its large
Mercedes center logo emblem (and smaller hood emblem), lower air
intakes, and integrated lip spoiler-is exemplary. The bright trim
(used in tastefully restrained amounts on the body), the cabin
glass (including on the sunroof), rear emblems, LED taillights, and
the 5-spoke wheels with Mercedes-logo centercaps (and Pirelli P
Zero 19-inch performance tires) all show no wear or signs of
fading. Inside, it's clear the car has been adult-owned and used
with utmost care. The elegance of black leather, piano-black trim,
and Mercedes design touches in the instruments and controls make
for a satisfying, driver-oriented cockpit. The restrained use of
aluminum on controls, vents, and console-mounted
automatic-transmission control knob (as well as on the pedals)
provides visual interest. Virtually all surfaces are free of damage
with only minor creasing on some leather seating surfaces due to
age. Instruments-including the center-dash analog clock-are clear
and free of scratches. Carpeting throughout is like new. Under the
hood, the twin-turbocharged V8 producing 402 horsepower resides in
a complete-and distinctly clean and properly ordered-engine bay.
There is no sign of any modification from stock. Beneath the car,
the chassis is orderly with no sign of abuse or damage to the dual
exhaust system or driveline. Very minor surface rust is present on
some unprotected bits of hardware. The exceptional condition of
this Mercedes CLS550 4Matic is faithfully presented from every
angle (including from below) in the more than 50 high-definition
photographs and the short walk-aroun
