Reportedly only 47 XJS convertibles were made this color! Rumor
says this was a color made for Princess Diana. This is a very well
cared for, unabused car. Only 52,905 miles, clean Carfax. Only 4
owners, it lived in Florida most of it's miles. Then used as a
sunny day weekend car.
EXTERIOR: Rare Bronze Rose color. No signs of rust or damage. It is
straight, panels fit properly. It still has factory stickers in the
jambs. I believe it to have original paint and it still shows very
well. It's very glossy and smooth, I'm sure there are minor
imperfections if you look for them. It is hand pinstriped to match
the interior. All of the bright trim is still in very nice shape,
very shiny and straight. It even has some gold details like the
hood ornament, marker lights, antenna and on the gas cap. The
taillights have smoked lenses. Upfront it has fog lamps. The door
jambs are very clean. The window seals and weather strips are
excellent. It has a rich burgundy cloth convertible top. It is
power and in excellent shape. The original 16x7, 5 spoke alloy
wheels have Pirelli P400 tires.
INTERIOR: The light color interior barely shows any age. The
Connolly leather seats are still firm, very comfortable. The walnut
trim is real nice. It has not been smoked in, the ashtrays and
lighter have not been used. It still has it's factory stereo, the
clock is still ticking. It is full of power accessories- 12 way
seats with power lumbar. Power mirrors, windows, top and antenna
too. It has cruise control, climate control, lighted vanity mirrors
and a tilt wheel. The convertible top has a lining making it look
much nicer. It has a sporty console with a walnut shift knob. There
are 2 shift modes- sport and normal.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a 4.0 liter inline 6 cylinder with dual
overhead cams, 24 valves and sequential fuel injection. It looks
exceptionally clean and very proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very deep trunk compartment, it is fully
carpeted including the bottom of the trunk lid. The original spare
tire and wheel look like they've never been used. It still has the
jack. It also includes a car cover, the weatherstrip is
excellent.
UNDERSIDE: It is cleaner then I expected under this car. The
components are clean,, there are still factory markings clearly
visible. Obviously not driven in salt. It features independent
front and rear suspension. Power anti lock disc brakes at all four
wheels. Speed sensitive power rack and pinion steering. The
transmission is an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic with
overdrive and dual shift modes. It has a 3.54 axle ratio. Stainless
steel exhaust system.
These cars have recently started to become very collectable. They
are considered a great car for around town and still offer
impressive sports car characteristics. This one is clean and
extremely rare because of the color!
