Vehicle Description
This 1966 Ford F-100 gives a cool/classic patina look that we all
want in a good 'ol pickup. But when you give it a second glance,
you might pick up on the cues that tell you this is actually a
supercharged speed machine with a five-speed and an adjustable
suspension that you dial-in an ultra-cool stance.
The body has a terrific look of a true workhorse. It makes this
stealthily F-100 really make people think you just pull it from the
field or rescued an old shop truck. So there's a ton of character
in the way the red paint is interrupted by all the worn-in details.
You also still have all the desirable right pieces, like chrome
bumpers and full side trim. There's even a hint of pinstriping on
the hood and tailgate. In fact, the ones on the side show off the
custom "Drop I Beam" logos. And as you look a little closer, there
are more great custom details, like crystal-clear headlights and
the real wood bed hides the raised floor height. Plus, those
classic-looking wheels are actually a modern 20-inch size to fill
the wheel wells and fit modern sports tires.
The interior tries to keep the rustic feeling going with classic
pieces like the three-spoke Ford steering wheel and a Texas license
plate on the glovebox. But really, you're going to be struck by the
overall level of comfort and performance. The seat has a cool look
with a fresh black finish and a nice cloth inserts. The door panels
are done to match, and the clean black carpets coordinate, too. The
gauge package has been upgraded with a new Classic Instrument units
with the classic Moon eyes logos. And the Hurst shifter feels great
in your hands. Plus, the switches just below the dash let you dial
in that ideal low stance for a cool look at every cruise-in.
The engine bay was kept tidy so everyone could have a clear look at
all the awesome hardware. The wrapped pipe from the Procharger
supercharger is such a distinct look that it will draw people in to
take a look at this pickup. And when they get closer, they're going
to see a 351 cubic-inch V8 that's been further enhanced with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, MSD 6AL-2 ignition, and Hooker
headers that feed the glasspack-style dual exhaust. It's a terrific
power package, and you get to take full advantage of it thanks to
the control of the five-speed manual transmission. Disc brakes in
front, a four-link rear, and grippy sport tires all-around give you
firm control over this cool power pickup.
This is an awesome patina truck with a stealthy heart. You know how
cool this custom is, and so you know you can't let it slip away.
