Vehicle Description
This 1959 Chevrolet Apache Step Side Pickup truck comes to us from
a local Chicago owner. It's completely rebuilt with an expert frame
off restoration. Show quality paint finished in Cardinal Red with
all white roof and visor.
The Apache Step Side has wonderful history in the Chevrolet truck
line up. The "Task Force" was Chevy's successor to the Advance
Design series. The Task Force Series ran from 1955 through 1961. At
GMC dealers, it was called the Blue Chip Series. In 1958, all Task
Force trucks were dubbed the Chevrolet Apache, a name they would
carry until the end of the series in 1959.
For 1959 the most apparent change was a larger and more ornate hood
emblem and redesigned badging on the fenders. The Apache is really
considered the last of the wonderful big window mid-century task
force trucks.
