The cabin is upholstered in blue vinyl with striped cloth seat
inserts. Amenities include roll-down side and pop-out rear-quarter
vent windows as well as an analog clock, a heater, and a
push-button AM/FM radio.
A factory four-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer and a
100-mph speedometer along with warning lights, a door-open
indicator, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The
five-digit odometer shows just over 40k miles, of which
approximately 150 have been added by the previous owner.
The 1.6-liter inline-four has been fitted with a single Weber
carburetor and utilized Compound Vortex Controlled Combustion
(CVCC) technology to meet period US emissions requirements without
the use of a catalytic converter. Output was factory-rated at 81
horsepower and 89 lb-ft of torque. A tune-up and an oil change were
performed and a new Honda battery was installed in June 2020.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a Hondamatic two-speed
semi-automatic transaxle.
The Honda runs and drives beautifully, it starts easily and shifts
smoothly, braking is straight and drama free.
