Vehicle Description
Over the years, Toyota has forged quite a name for itself by
building rock-solid, dependable transportation, but they've also
been known to get a little adventurous from time to time, such as
in the case of this 1995 Toyota Supra Turbo. Packing serious power
under its hood and sporting one of Toyota's boldest, eye-catching
designs, this built-up, RHD imported beauty is a very rare find
that's been improved upon by some of the best tuner experts in the
country. Wow, what a find!
You just don't come across Supras of this era very often, so this
one is a welcome sight. It's one very sharp looking ride, featuring
hints of European styling in the form of its sharply angled
windshield, sloping rear roofline and the functional Ferrari-esque
aggressive premium spoiler on the deck lid. With its sleek look and
low to the ground stance, it's an undeniable head turner, and with
those killer ground effects, front fascia, and hood scoop it looks
even more menacing when it's bombing down the road. Its Silver
Metallic paint is in good form with only minor signs of use accrued
over the 107k actual miles on the clock, and judging from the fresh
look of this Toyota's exterior, it's been garage kept it's entire
life so you won't find many blemishes as you take a lap around the
car. The slick-top Supra is the one that you want, highlighting the
beautiful streamlined design of this Japanese treasure. Up front,
the trio of bulbs sitting in each headlight bucket provide a great,
aggressive look, while in back, the multi-colored taillights sit
behind clear lenses just above the clean rear bumper, while the
distinctive 3rd brake light and giant exhaust can really make a
statement. Even though the body has been tastefully augmented with
bolt-on goodies, they resisted further temptation and left off all
the decals, striping, and even Anime art work (sorry neck beards!),
and the result is a clean sports car you'd be proud to feature in a
video game or the next Fast/Furious movie.
The black leather seating and matching carpet matches nicely with
the black center console and dash area to make for a great looking
driving environment. Both the front buckets with their integrated
headrests and the rear bench seat are in very sharp condition,
showing minor comfort marks but noting that requires attention. The
wrap-around instrument cluster has a very "driver-centric" feel to
it, positioning the clear gauges for easy viewing and putting the
Pioneer multi-media head-unit (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
compatible) just a short reach away. There's a nice array of
features on board, including air conditioning that's blowing strong
and cold, a tilt column, cruise control, power door locks, power
windows and a factory center console. Driver and passenger side
airbags are a welcome safety measure as well, but the most exciting
part of the interior of this Supra is the billet and carbon fiber
short-throw shifter in the console that manages the built 6-speed
manual transmission below. Raise the hatch and you'll find a
surprising amount of useful room in the storage area in back,
although admittedly it's missing its carpeted insulation at the
moment.
The transplanted fuel-injected, 3.0 liter 2JZ-GTE Inline-6 sitting
under the hood is a screamer - outfitted with Garrett GT40 turbo
and a TiAl 50mm blow-off valve, it's good for plenty of horsepower,
far more than enough to rocket this great looking Toyota forward
with conviction. Unlike many turbos, this one activates almost
instantly, with all of the boost hitting quickly with nary a lag
for very strong acceleration. Basically, it's going 0-60 before you
have time to clear your throat and yell out a joyous expletive. The
engine pairs with a highly desirable, quick-shifting Nissan CDOOA
6-speed manual transmission matched with a Stage 3 clutch to make
for a responsive, fully-engrossed driving experience. Handling is
definitely another of its fortes - that aggressive spoiler in back
creates a substantial amount of downward force that works with the
HKS coilovers underneath to keep the car glued to the pavement, and
when you factor in its already impressive skidpad results, you have
one supremely agile performance car on your hands. And the
soundtrack is downright erotic thanks to the Carbon TI exhaust with
4-inch stainless steel pipes and that big can jutting under the
rear bumper. Power disc brakes sit at all four corners for quick,
dependable stops as it turns heads on its 19" Aimgain G2 rims,
wrapped with 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear low-profile
performance radials.
Lightly travelled and still very much in its prime, this upgraded
1995 Toyota Supra offers the chance to own a powerful, increasingly
rare performance car in its ideal configuration. Offered with
plenty of receipts to cover all the recent work and performance
upgrades, this slick turbo example is one of the more desirable
Supras on the market today. Call now!
