Vehicle Description
The first generation of Ram Trucks and vans was introduced in 1980
with a ton, ton and 1 Ton variants being offered. The were
designed in regular cab, club cab and crew cabs with a multitude of
engine options being offered. Up until 1989 sales were sluggish
with what was considered dated cab and chassis designs compared to
the GM and Ford versions that were changing with the times. Not
only is this design the most coveted for now truck collectors, A
lot of that mentality changed once the 5.9 Liter Cummins Diesel was
introduced in 1989. This engine blew the competition away not only
durability but power. The Cummins only had about 160 HP but
delivered over 400 ft lb of torque with its turbo set up. This
particular truck has just been re-painted by the seller with a 4"
Lift being added at that time. The odometer is in-op so the DMV in
Indiana where the vehicle spent most of its life gave the title
what is called a branded title because they could not verify
mileage. In Michigan if a vehicle is over the age of 10 years, all
vehicles come with a mileage EXEMPT so I have a free and clear MI
title. The owner painted the truck himself in International red
over cream, installed a radio and did the interior himself. The
truck looks great, starts perfectly and goes down the road as you
can imagine it would. All the lights work, tires are new and the
truck has been serviced so it is ready to go.
