Vehicle Description
With only 38 produced in 1951, this 1951 Nash Statesman Custom
Coupe is an incredibly rare piece of automotive history. The
Statesman Custom was the top-of-the-line model in Nash's Statesman
line, above the Super model and the fleet-only model. This
particular Nash is powered by a 184 Cubic Inch Inline 6 Cylinder
Engine with a New, Correct Carter Carburetor. The 184 Inline 6 has
undergone a recent tune-up including a fuel pump rebuild and
replacement of the spark plugs. This Statesman Custom Coupe is easy
to drive with an Automatic Transmission. For suspension, this Nash
has an independent coil spring front suspension and a semi-floating
rear axle. This Nash's AirFlyte aerodynamic body lines are
accentuated by the Black paint that covers the exterior of this
vehicle. This '51 Nash sits on 4 period correct Whitewall tires
with Nash-script wheel covers. The interior of this Statesman
Custom Coupe is in spectacular condition. The dash looks great and
features a push-button radio and electric clock. The two-tone cloth
interior looks to be recently restored and have been covered in
plastic ever since. If you're looking to add a rare Nash to your
collection or if you're looking for your very first classic, this
1951 Nash Statesman Custom Coupe is the car for you!
