1982 Zimmer Golden Spirit - 5.0L V8 - Recaro Seats - Neo Classical
Styling - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on

uniquely retro, featuring a luxurious interior, and a modern
powerplant. This car is the brainchild of designer Paul Zimmer, who
looked to create a car with a neo-classical style but have modern
features and technology. As a whole, the car is an interesting and
comfortable vehicle to drive, with modern drivetrain, bodywork
styled in a classical manner, and a comfortable interior with many
appointments similar to styling in a 80's or 90's luxury conversion
van. Although the 80's wasn't thought of as a great era for car
styling - especially cars that the average American drove, the idea
of a car that used classic styling and a modern drivetrain was
alive even back then. Sounds similar to the current resto-mod
craze. Though there is a 5.0 under the hood, you won't be driving
with the top down so your hair can blow the way rapper Vanilla Ice
liked to drive his 5.0. In the Zimmer, the car offers a capable
powerplant and air conditioning, so the only wind moving your
neatly styled coif will be from the A/C. Even with the windows
down, the flower adorned wind deflectors just ahead of the windows
block any wind turbulence for comfortable windows down motoring.
The Ford 5.0L V8 borrowed from the Mustang is mated to a an
automatic transmission which offers smooth shifts and power
delivery. Inside the car is an interior that features fancy styling
with exotic materials like wood trim and lots of leather. The seats
are one of the best parts of the interior as they are genuine
Recaro seats similar to what you might find in a european sports
car or in a car that has been tuned by an aftermarket tuner. Truly
great seats built to hold you in place when clipping apexes - not
exactly what you would be doing in the Zimmer, but they are
definitely comfortable. Clear gauges, a Blaupunkt stereo, vehicle
warning lamps, center armrest, wood adorned center console and
gauge surround, and the Golden Spirit logo mounted on the
passenger's side dashboard are all features of the luxurious
interior. Exterior design reflects the design cues of so many of
the European and American luxury cars of the '30's. Large front
fenders with faux exhaust manifolds on either side, large chrome
ringed headlights, chrome bumpers, running boards, contrasting
vinyl top, and wire wheels are all part of the Zimmer's styling.
It's a uniquely retro, low production automobile that will whisk
you along in luxury and comfort. Truly a great car for a Sunday
afternoon cruise, this car exudes style and luxury, and is sure to
turn some heads as you're motoring along. Be sure to check out all
the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call
